Reporting to the Director of IT, as the Systems Administrator /DBA , this position is responsible for ensuring the availability of, and maintaining all Microsoft servers with a focus on SQL Servers. Database Administration and support are key responsibilities of this position.  Provide on-call technical support and participate in on-call rotation.  Provide second level support for Helpdesk.


  • Responsible for Microsoft SQL Servers and Support
  • Database Administration in support of Skybridge Applications
  • Support of MySQL databases
  • Deploy and maintain software patches and ensures host security policies, maintain network security authentication and secure remote access control systems;
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Servers, Exchange, DNS and DHCP support
  • Assist staff with technology issues and be able to recognize, document and escalate deeper and more complex issues to computer software providers for solutions;
  • Analyze system or application usage and plans for growth, participate in capacity planning and performance monitoring and tuning;
  • Assess the need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute if required;
  • Support corporate policies, procedures and best practices pertinent to supporting network servers;
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights and infrastructure support;
  • Perform system backups/recoveries;
  • Provides technical guidance for other network administrators; Windows Servers
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent education and experience;
  • 3-5 years in related field
  • Microsoft and MySQL knowledge and experience;
  • Contact Center technologies experience preferred;
  • Knowledge of Web programming, Javascript, Stored procedures (T-SQL)
  • Networking topologies, Windows environment, LAN Administration;
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) an Asset
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Servers Operating Systems essential;
  • Microsoft Office Suite software components;
  • Mail Server/Systems Exchange/Outlook and Webmail experience;
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols along with Telnet, SFTP, SSH, VPN, and SSL;
  • Experience in supporting, designing and implementing projects in production network environments;
  • Experience with Windows Servers;
  • Experience with the setup and configuration of Microsoft Windows workstations in a network environment;
  • Applications installation and troubleshooting;
  • Knowledge or experience with VMware products supporting, administration, and troubleshooting;
  • Familiarity with Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS) is a definite asset;
  • Ability to travel to the US may be required;
  • Ability to pass a standard background check for security clearance;
  • Professional and customer driven communication skills, verbal and written;
  • Proven skills in time management, driving performance results;
  • High sense of urgency and responsiveness;
  • High level of customer service attitude and approach.
